I gave it 1 star caus it wont let you give zero My annual islands subscription is not working! I have tried to delete the app and reinstalling it and restoring purchases several times to no avail! Please help as I really loved this magazine!
Waste of money. App is always frozen.
This app worked really well, but since the advent of Newsstand, it freezes and doesnt allow the publications to be viewed. I am SO glad that I waited to see if this would work with the free publications before signing up for the subscription! PLEASE fix this!

While it is a quality magazine once you get in, the constant freezes and needs to exit/reenter is too annoying. Needs a fix soon.
The developers of the app should be fired immediately. If Internet is connected the app just freezes. Learn to debug before putting out crap. Its not hard. The magazine management needs to fix the issue immediately else their app will create more problems than happy readers. DEBUG DEBUG DEBUG

The AP update to resolve the locked screen only worked the 1st time I loaded after downloading fix, pls apply more fixes or refund my $$$!
Tried one free download... Worked great. Tried others and i am stuff in limbo. Deleted and reinstalled. No change. Doesnt bode well for spending money. Shame. Its a great mag in hard copy. Deleting the app permanently now.

I personaly have had only good experiences with this magazine, it always starts up and doesnt crash. "Islands Magazine" so far has had good informative articles on many destinations and the accompanying pics look so vibrant and beautiful on my 3rd gen iPad that I just want to pack up my bags and travel to those destinations every time I open up this magazine.
Love the magazine but now it never opens up. I get to the first screen, blue which says Islands then after about 15 seconds it just closes down and goes back to my library! So aggravating!
This is my first-ever review on the app store, and Im sorry it is so negative. However, after only one day of having Islands (and having it work), the app no longer responds. It crashes immediately. This is a shame, too, because I subscribe to the paper edition and was looking forward to perusing the iPad version with my wife next week on our beach vacation. The biggest irony is that my renewal letter for Islands magazine just arrived in the mail!

This app just started freezing, cant get past the blue "Islands" screen before it closes. Beautiful magazine and subscribers should get the iPad version as part of their subscription. Please fix!
No crashing (yet). Only complaint is that many of the beautiful pictures in the magazine go across two pages but in the iPad edition there does not seem to be any way to display the pages side by side.
Id consider buying a subscription since I love the print magazine, but Id like to experience the ipad version before committing. The free sample issues will not load (despite the fact that is says its loading).
